Join the 9th Annual Drover’s Run 4WD Outback Adventure for the journey of a lifetime. Explore some of the most iconic destinations in outback Australia while raising funds for the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service.

Starting at Cobar on Friday 2nd August for a meet and greet and catch-up dinner before heading off the next morning. Over the next 16 days you will cover more than 4,500kms through western NSW and South-West Queensland before reaching Innamincka in South Australia. From here, the convoy will head north along the Cordillo Downs Road and cross in to Queensland and the iconic town of Birdsville. A day off to explore the region and maybe head out to Big Red for a crack at one of the tracks up Australia's highest sand dune. The next five days we head in to the desert towards Poeppel Corner, and then a number of days travelling the famous Hay River Track. We pick up the Plenty Highway and a stop at the wonderful Tobermorey Station, then north to Mt Isa, McKinlay (home of Croc Dundee's Walkabout Creek Hotel), and two nights in Longreach to take in some the outstanding tourist attractions offered including a sunset cruise on the stunning Thompson River followed by dinner at Smithy's including the Outback Show. Heaps more sightseeing on the way home including the Machinery Mile at Ilfracombe, star watching in Charleville, and a night at Dirranbandi. Then on to our final night stop at the fantastic Pally Pub and the next day to our finish line at our NENW base in Tamworth on Sunday 18th August. Sounds like a lot in sixteen days but by the end you will have experienced so much of what is great about the outback, in an escorted adventure, with wonderful people. This is a trip of a lifetime so don't miss out.

There is plenty of time factored in for you to enjoy the beautiful scenery and unique landmarks along the way on the 2024 Drover’s Run Outback Adventure. The Drover’s Run is not a race it’s about having fun, getting to experience the real Outback, and meeting and supporting the wonderful people of rural and Outback Australia.

The routes, stop-overs, and attractions are guaranteed to make the journey a memorable one.

The Drover’s Run continues to grow in popularity and there are very limited numbers for this once in a lifetime experience, so now is the time to register and start planning for the 2024 Drover’s Run Outback Adventure.

PLEASE NOTE - THE 2024 DROVER'S RUN ROUTE IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE GIVEN THE EXTENSIVE FLOODING IN CENTRAL AND WESTERN QUEENSLAND. THE ROUTE WILL BE FINALISED ONCE ADDITIONAL MAPPING TAKES PLACE IN APRIL BUT WE WILL ENDEAVOUR TO STAY AS CLOSE TO THE ORIGINAL ROUTE AS IS POSSIBLE.
